Discovering Aesthetics Through Perspective

I fell in love with the 85mm focal length early on in my exploration of lenses for my photography, one which I keep going back to no matter the circumstances bar a very few. I found the perspectives afforded fits exactly my perspectives of the visual splendours we experience on a daily basis and finding difficulties to select a portion of which to focus upon for appreciation. That, I realised, provided the contextual beauty of life through photography. Enabling us to capture those moments in celebration of the aesthetic wonders that surround us every day.

There is no doubt that every photograph tells a story. A narrative albeit which filters perhaps prejudices, assumptions and even stereotypes. I would be vain to suggest I suffer from none of these, but still how my portfolio showcases enough of my worldview that is a balance of the positives and negatives forming the basis of our outlook in life as seen through our eyes. I hereby invite you to appreciate the aesthetic richness of life from perhaps a different viewpoints from yours, or a strikingly similar vein.
